Dr Sonnie Badu Shifts Rhythms of Africa Date from 13th to 21st December to Pay Respect to Daddy Lumba’s Burial Ceremony

Gospel musician and Pastor Sonnie Badu has officially announced a new date for the highly anticipated Rhythms of Africa – Kumasi Edition, which will now take place on 21st December 2025.

The adjustment comes out of respect for the late Daddy Lumba, whose burial has been scheduled for 13th December 2025—the same day the concert was originally planned. In honor of the legendary musician and to allow Ghanaians the space to fully participate in the burial activities, Dr Sonnie Badu’s management team has decided to move the event to the following week.

This thoughtful gesture reflects Dr Badu’s deep respect for the legacy and contributions of Daddy Lumba to Ghanaian music.

Rhythms of Africa this year will take place at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi.
