My Musicians Tour and Play with renowned artistes but they never miss church service

Ghanaian US-based gospel musician and pastor, Sonnie Badu, has expressed his deep appreciation and admiration for the dedication of his church musicians. He commends their ability to balance their personal lives, church activities, and their commitment to God’s work.

On his social media pages, Dr. Sonnie Badu, the lead pastor of RockHill Church in Atlanta, Georgia, shared how his musicians’ commitment has been a great support in his ministry.

He reflected on his transition from a full-time recording artiste to a full-time pastor, a journey he believes was divinely guided.

“Six years ago, God transitioned me from being a full-time recording artiste to full-time ministry. This was a tough decision, as anyone living here can attest to the challenges of running a church to this standard in a foreign land. It takes a lot of faith, relying solely on God’s help with no assistance from man. The Covid pandemic was particularly difficult for us, but God sustained us through it all,” he wrote.

Dr. Badu also spoke about his upcoming live recording event and shared pictures of the setup. He highlighted the commitment of his musicians and the involvement of his church members and family. He mentioned how this event will be an emotional experience for him. “Today, by God’s grace, I am recording with my church members and musicians. These are talented individuals who tour and play with renowned artistes, yet they never miss a service and remain incredibly loyal to me. The Intimacy Recording will be an emotional experience for me because all the church members from both our New York and Atlanta branches will be present, along with my six biological children,” he shared.

Known for producing excellent music and working with talented individuals, Dr. Badu sees himself as a man of faith who overcomes challenges. His live recording event, “INTIMACY,” is set for Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 7 pm. This event will feature a collaboration with award-winning American recording engineer Danny Duncan, who recorded Dr. Badu 11 years ago, making him the first African to work with Duncan.

This live recording event promises to be a transformative experience, filled with the presence of God.
