I Had Kidney Issues – Tv3 mentor fame Erico tells sad story of near death experience
Gospel singer Eric Oduro, also known as Ark Erico, talked about his tough times dealing with kidney problems. He won Season three of Mentor, a reality show in Ghana, in 2006.
During an interview with Actress Emelia Brobbey on the OKUKUSEKU TALK SHOW on ADOM TV on April 15, 2024, Erico said he had to stop making music because of his kidney issues. Despite facing a serious problem, he managed to get treatment early, recommending the same medication to others in need.
Erico, known for his generosity, spoke about his journey through hospitals and treatment, crediting God for intervening. He almost switched to Highlife music due to financial difficulties in the gospel music industry but stuck with it.
However, during his kidney struggles, his partner, whom he had lied to about his death in five-month, instead of his recovery in six months has planned to take advantage of his condition, hoping for his death to marry someone else in Dubai. This encounter deeply affected Erico emotionally.
Erico, left in awe, had a lot of questions in mind. Some people criticized him for lying to his partner, while others urged caution in relationships.
Erico hasn’t announced his return to music yet, considering all that has happened.
