Gospel music diva Empress Gifty Praises Ex-Husband for His Support in Her music Career
Gospel singer and fashionista, Empress Gifty, has expressed immense admiration and gratitude for her ex-husband, Prophet Elisha Osei, for the instrumental role he played in her rise to fame.
Speaking during an interview on Pure 95.7 FM with radio host Katah Makatah as part of her media tour in Kumasi, Empress Gifty reflected on her journey in the gospel music industry, acknowledging her former husband’s support.
“He is one of the people God used to bring me to this higher level,” she stated, appreciating him for being her backbone during her early years in music. She recalled how her ex-husband stood firmly behind her first song, Aseda, which marked the beginning of her successful career.
Although their marriage ended in divorce in 2014, Empress Gifty holds no ill will towards Prophet Osei.
In fact, she made it clear that she would never speak negatively about him, as he played a crucial role in her rise to stardom.
“It was through him that the name ‘Gifty Osei’ came into the limelight,” she added.
Empress Gifty is currently promoting her latest song, Watch Me, released on September 8, 2024. Produced by Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeat artiste Kuami Eugene, the song has already garnered over 182,000 views on YouTube.
