Ghanaian Politicians Should Stop The Uncivilised Political Behaviours “Pounding Fufu for votes” – Apostle Paul Agyekum
Apostle Paul Kofi Agyekum, a political analyst and founder of Victory Chapel Worldwide, has criticized politicians for their improper behavior ahead of the 2024 election.
In an interview with young members of his church, Apostle, who regularly post political videos on YouTube, was asked what he thought about politicians doing household chores just to win votes from their people.
Reflecting on Ghana’s age, reputation, and current political system, Apostle Agyekum referred to these actions as “uncivilized political behavior.” He mentioned seeing the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and other politicians, like John Dumelo and Mike Ocquaye, doing household tasks such as pounding fufu, washing, and eating with locals.
Recently, the Vice President was spotted pounding fufu with a group of women during his Hope Tour in Nadowli East Constituency. Many Ghanaians see this as a strategy to win votes, but Apostle Agyekum considers it an improper way to gain support.
He urged voters to reject politicians who engage in these actions just to gain their trust, calling it a shameful behavior that tarnishes the country’s image.
Apostle Agyekum also advised voters to take care of their own household chores and leave politicians out of it. He warned that if this trend continues, young politicians may think it’s a valid way to win votes, which could harm the political system in the future.
Having served in ministry for many years, Apostle Agyekum continues to speak out about the state of Ghanaian politics, inspiring many, including his church members, to stand against these uncivilized acts.
