Two TV presenters on Max TV couldn’t hide their shock after discovering that Ghanaian gospel singer Kofi Karikari is the original source of the widely loved worship song “We Bow Down and Worship Yahweh.”

During a live interview, they admitted they had always believed the song was written by a white songwriter, a perception many people have shared over the years due to how far the song has traveled across churches , worship platforms and worldwide. The female presenter, surprised by the revelation, even remarked that the song has become more popular than the singer himself, leaving both presenters amazed.

According to available records, “We Bow Down and Worship Yahweh” was first recorded in 2012, before an official live performance version was recorded in 2014—a moment that helped boost its reach and impact.
